1. In 2-3 hours after your procedure, gently wash your lips with a cotton pad and soap, preferably antibacterial. If there is any swelling, redness and/or bruising, it will go away in 3-5 days.
2. After washing and every 2-3 hours for a day after the procedure, gently tap lips using a cotton pad dampened with the provided antiseptic.
3. In 3-4 days, your skin should be moistened with the given aftercare ointment in a large rice grain amount on each brow, max. 5 times a day.
4. When the skin begins to shed, DON’T scratch or pick at them, only allow the dry skin to come off on its own. See the picture with the healing process.
5. In 4-7 days, the crusts will go away by themselves. Until then, the lips cannot be made wet for long periods of time, steamed, etc. No scrubs, masks, or steam baths. Very active physical labor (like cross fit) with abundant sweating is strictly prohibited. Decorative cosmetics on the lip area is also prohibited.
6. Expect the color to eventually lighten by up to 80% once the healing process is complete, sometimes the skin does not take the pigment after the first session, this is a normal reaction; that’s why we need a touch up.
7. IF YOU HAVE A HISTORY of cold sores, please, treat the area with prescribed medications as per your physician’s recommendations starting from the day of the procedure, ending in 4-5 days after to prevent the cold sore to appear.
Color may appear sketchy at different stages of healing. Be patient. This is a process that does not yield immediate results.
